Page 3Eataly: La Birreria
We didn't see it coming, but we actually really dig the beer garden on the roof of Eataly. You’ll be hard pressed to find one with a larger variety of good things to eat, and the crowd is much more pleasant up here than in the tourist packed insanity that exists underneath it.
Gran Electrica
Gran Electrica serves simple, excellent Mexican food and creative cocktails. It also has a great back patio.
The Smith Lincoln Center
That's right, another Infatuation review for yet another location of The Smith. Why? Because The Smith is always there when you need it to be. Sometimes for the food. Sometimes for the bathroom. Either way, it's there, and it's good.
The Ribbon
Finally, the kind of restaurant the Upper West Side has long been starved for. The Ribbon has style and substance and does classic food right.
Playa Betty’s
Playa Betty’s is a fun place to drink margaritas with a big group on the Upper West Side.
Gemma
If you’re looking to have an amazing romantic dinner with some of the best Italian food this city has to offer, keep looking. But if you’re just looking to go out with a big group, celebrate a birthday, and have a really good time, Gemma will do.
John Brown Smokehouse
While we enjoyed our time with John Brown Smokehouse, we didn’t quite go crazy over the BBQ the way others have. Though if you and your crew appreciate trays full of BBQ and massive bootfuls of beer, John Brown should be on the radar.
The Brooklyneer
The Brooklyneer is most definitely a bar with food, not a restaurant with a bar. But in terms of bar food in New York City, this is some of the best around. Oh, and for all you crazy intense soccer fans out there, The Brooklyneer is the place to watch.
City Vineyard
City Vineyard is a restaurant and wine bar on the Hudson River in Tribeca, and it’s a great spot to drink wine outside with a group.
The Jeffrey
The Jeffrey is an Upper East Side East beer garden and espresso bar, with great bar snacks and excellent cocktails. Be happy you’ve heard of it.
Chavela’s
Chavela’s serves some very good Mexican food, and it’s also one of the most fun restaurants in Crown Heights for hanging out with a group.
The Spaniard
The Spaniard is a big West Village gastropub that’s a fun place to get drinks with a group, and a less enjoyable spot to eat elevated bar food.
Sweet Chick
Chicken, waffles, an unpretentious vibe, and communal atmosphere are the things that make us love Sweet Chick.
Morgan's BBQ
Morgan’s BBQ is some of the best barbecue you can get without having to go down to Red Hook for Hometown.
Empellon Al Pastor
New York City will never be LA, Austin, San Diego, or Mexico, but we suddenly have some quality taco options to choose form. Add Empellón Al Pastor to that list.
The Uptown Garrison
The Uptown Garrison is an all-day spot in Washington Heights that works for coffee at 8am or cocktails and bar food at midnight.
Jeffrey’s Grocery
Jeffrey’s Grocery in the West Village is one of the few restaurants in town we return to regularly, and it's perfect for pretty much anything.
North River Lobster Co.
The food at North River Lobster Co. is regrettably mediocre. Then again, we never expected more from a floating restaurant in the middle of Midtown fart-tastic touristville.
Pier A Harbor House
Pier A Harbor House is one of the best dining al fresco restaurants in NYC, complete with a view of the Statue Of Liberty and a massive outdoor/patio situation.
Hana Makgeolli
Hana Makgeolli is a taproom in Greenpoint serving Korean rice wine and drinking snacks.
Sidney’s Five
Sidney’s Five is a fun East Village bar where you should meet up with friends or take a date whom you might make out with in public.
“Where Can I Day Drink With Friends On July 4th In NYC?”
Boats, backyards, and patios where you and your friends can hang out on Sunday, July 4th.
