Sushi Of Gari Tribeca
For us, there are few culinary pleasures in life that exceed sushi bar swagging at Sushi of Gari, watching an old master fish sculptor slice up some heavenly creations destined for our bellies. Unfortunately, this Gari location is our least favorite yet.

The food at Amali is both interesting and delicious, which makes it stand out from the rest of the overpriced stuff in the neighborhood.
Empellon Al Pastor
New York City will never be LA, Austin, San Diego, or Mexico, but we suddenly have some quality taco options to choose form. Add Empellón Al Pastor to that list.
Lovely Day
Lovely Day is one of the most reasonably priced restaurants where you can still feel like you've had a fun night out.
Good Enough To Eat
The Upper West Side may not be flush with noteworthy dining out options, but they certainly have one meal on lockdown – brunch. Good Enough To Eat has been an institution up in these parts for a good 30 years, and a spot we'll happily go to for simple, heavy handed home cooking.

Bangklyn East Harlem is a casual spot with really good Thai food and a collection of vintage clothing in the corner.
Lighthouse
Lighthouse is our go-to spot in Williamsburg for a casual, kind of healthy, but still impressive meal.
Chuko
Three blocks from the Barclays Center, Chuko is not only an ideal pre-game move, but our favorite ramen joint in Brooklyn.
Dimes
Dimes is a scene-y spot on the LES that feels like eating inside of a meme. We actually really like the food here.
Sol Sips
Sol Sips is a vegan cafe with Caribbean breakfast and lunch options, as well as good juices and smoothies.
Vic’s
Vic’s in Noho is a restaurant to keep in your back pocket for when you need something easy and good.
Candle Cafe
Candle Cafe is one of your only vegan options on the Upper East Side, but it’s also pretty good.
Savage Sicko
Savage Sicko is a vegan Latin American restaurant in Astoria with great arepas and flautas.
Urban Dessert Lab
This ice cream shop on Orchard Street on the LES also offers plant-based, vegan, and dairy-free options.
Dragon Bing
Dragon Bing makes Chinese bing at The Market Line on the LES that make for a great casual weeknight dinner or lunch.
Curry King
Curry King is a small Indian and Pakistani takeout counter on the Upper West Side where you can get a great $10 lunch or dinner.
