Charley St is an all-day Australian cafe in Nolita that works for a healthy breakfast or lunch.

If you’re near the Riis Park Beach Bazaar and you want to eat something healthier, go to the Cuisine By Claudette stand and get a cauliflower bowl.

Black Flamingo is a vegan Mexican restaurant in Williamsburg with a basement dance floor that’s open on weekends (when you’ll see a line to get in).

Beyond Sushi is a counter-service spot in the Garment District that specializes in sushi rolls that don’t actually have any fish in them.

Saravaana Bhavan is a solid and normal Indian restaurant on the Upper West Side. Stop by for a quiet, vegetarian-friendly meal.
Westville Dumbo
Westville’s Dumbo spot is just as good for a quick and healthy meal as the other locations, with the added bonus of being close to the Brooklyn Bridge
Jungle Cafe
For good vegan food without pretension, head to Jungle Cafe in Greenpoint. It’s not hip whatsoever, and that’s why we like it.
Bar Velo
Bar Velo is a cocktail bar in Williamsburg where you can get some vegan small plates and enjoy the old-timey vibes.
Peacefood Café
Peacefood is one of our favorite vegan spots in town (and especially in Union Square). Go, but beware that the chickpea fries are addicting.
