Hovarda is a stunning Aegean (Greek / Turkish) restaurant in Soho with a good party vibe and very expensive OK tasting food.
Serge et le Phoque
Serge et le Phoque is a Fitzrovia outpost of a Hong Kong restaurant where you will have a perfectly pleasant but not very exciting expensive meal.
Bang Bang Oriental Foodhall
Bang Bang Oriental is a massive Asian food hall in Collindale, that’s worth a visit if you so happen to be in Collindale.
Butchies
Butchies have been serving their excellent fried chicken ‘sandwich’ at markets and festivals across London - this is their first permanent spot.
Dishoom Kensington
This location is everything you would expect from a Dishoom - great Indian food, in a grand setting, with long queues.
Doughnut Time
An Australian mini-chain’s first London location and their doughnuts are over the top, and fantastic.
Swingers City
Swingers is an indoor crazy golf venue, with fantastic street food stalls, and it’s kind of awesome.
Bocconcino
Bocconcino is a large upmarket Italian restaurant in Mayfair serving big and classy Italian staples of pasta and pizza.
Opium Cocktails & Dim Sum Parlour
Opium comes with the obligatory arsey doorman. But if you can manage not to be put off by this, you’ll find an excellent cocktail bar.
The Jones Family Project
With a steak restaurant downstairs and a chilled bar upstairs, The Jones Family Project is a great place for a group hang.
Flight Club
Flight Club is a darts-themed bar, and it’s basically the hipster upgrade to playing darts in a pub
Pastaio
Pastaio is a pasta-focused restaurant in Soho and we’re going just call it what it is: a Padella copycat. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The Coal Shed
The Coal Shed is the first London location of a popular Brighton restaurant that specializes in cooking fish and meats cooked over fire.
Yamagoya
Yamagoya is a Japanese fast-casual restaurant in Southwark which is great for a quick snack or an excellent bowl of ramen.
Locanda Ottoemezzo
Locanda Ottomezzo is a neighbourhood Italian restaurant with Italian movie memorabilia on the walls, good food and an excellent wine list.
Wright Brothers South Kensington
There are a few Wright Brothers restaurants dotted all over town, but the South Kensington location is the one that your mum would like the best.
Margaux
Margaux is a relatively casual but still elegant neighbourhood restaurant serving Euro bistro-style food, and they do it well.
Honest Burgers South Kensington
Honest Burgers has is great for a burger and craft beer if you’re in South Ken.
Casa Brindisa
Casa Brindisa is a good tapas restaurant to escape to after spending time at the museums in South Kensington.

PJ’s is an old-school, polo themed restaurant in South Ken serving brasserie style food and an excellent full English all day.
