The Paris Cafe
This South Street Seaport spot is more than just a restaurant with views of the Brooklyn Bridge. It serves reliably good food too. Paris Cafe has some Italian and American dishes in addition to French staples like steak frites and a niçoise salad with perfectly soft-boiled eggs and optional seared tuna. An unskippable double smashburger with onion jam is small, but so rich that you’ll be more than satisfied by the time you’re finished. The front room has a classic pub atmosphere with TVs, while the back feels like a very dark bistro. This area is converted to a lounge with a DJ every Friday and Saturday night, so head here when you can’t be bothered to find another place to party after dinner.
