Breads Bakery makes, without a doubt, the best chocolate babka in America. OK, at least in New York City. It’s made with a combination of Nutella and dark chocolate, and tastes as delicious as you’re currently imagining it to be in your head. If you’re in the area and need a spot for a breakfast meeting or a solo coffee hang, Bread’s is always the first place we recommend. They also have specials for every major Jewish holiday, so keep an eye out for that the next time you’re en route to a Seder or Shabbat.

If you’re looking for excellent babka uptown, Breads has a kiosk in Bryant Park as well as a second location near Lincoln Center.
