Caravan is our go-to when we’re rolling with a group of friends who all want different things from a meal. Come for coffee, brunch, dinner, and even an espresso martini, or maybe all of those things at the same time. It’s also civilised enough for an informal work meeting, and is one of the better spots in the area for big groups, Just be sure to call ahead if it’s last minute.

Elliot’s is a class act, from the drinks and food to the service. Their cheeseburger is also one of the best burgers in London.
Macellaio RC Union Street
Macellaio serves incredible Italian-style steaks from Piedmont, and nice pastas, too. It’s definitely worth it for a splurge.

One of London’s loveliest green spaces, the cafe at the Dulwich Picture Gallery is good for families and anyone who needs an afternoon pick-me-up.
E. Pellicci is an old-school classic in Bethnal Green. It’s warm and welcoming, and if you don’t get a Full English breakfast, you did it wrong.
If you live anywhere near Victoria Park, Pavilion Cafe should be a weekend staple for coffee and pancakes. It’s fantastic during the summer.
