Meg van Huygen
A born Seattleite, Meg van Huygen's been writing professionally about food, travel, and history since 2001–her work has appeared in The Stranger, Seattle Weekly, Eater Seattle, The Seattle Times, MSN, Atlas Obscura, and Mental Floss, among other publications. Her portfolio includes monthly columns about cocktails (The Last Word) and sandwiches (Sub Missives), both for The Stranger. Meg majored in piano performance at Cornish College of the Arts, is a copy editor by day, collects weird maps, and has 700 cats.
