If you want to have an outdoor group hang in Greenpoint, but you don’t want to deal with the massive crowds at Brooklyn Barge or Northern Territory, try The Springs. We aren’t saying it won’t be crowded - but it shouldn’t be as crowded. The huge backyard with trees and couches makes up most of the bar and is Palm Springs-themed, which is just a little bit cheesy. On the bright side, they allow dogs in their backyard, and you probably have at least one friend who will appreciate how photogenic this place is.

Chez Ma Tante is a neighborhood spot that looks like every other Brooklyn restaurant - but it’s not. Come here for simple, excellent food.
21 Greenpoint is a great neighborhood spot that’s not just a consolation prize if you can’t get into Paulie Gee’s across the street.
Sauvage is a place in lower Greenpoint that looks like a French bistro, serves a great burger, and is surprisingly easy to get into.
Suggested by our writers
We feel sorry for anyone who doesn’t have a Paulie Gee’s in their ‘hood or in their city as an option for excellent Neapolitan pies.
The Brew Inn
The Brew Inn might just look like any other neighborhood bar on the outside - but it’s home to one of our favorite burgers in town.
