In an entirely self-serving way, we hope no one else finds out about Talea. Based out of Williamsburg, the women-owned brewery runs several taprooms in Brooklyn, as well as this bright, pleasant West Village outpost on Christopher Street. Filled with pastel and art and lots of little tables, it’s a great alternative to all the overcrowded bars in the area serving $20 cocktails. They have a great lineup of sours, stouts, and IPAs, and you can also get a glass of wine, an espresso martini, or a 10-inch bavarian pretzel. L’Industrie is right next door, so plan on grabbing a slice before or after.
