Sofreh Cafe
Sofreh Cafe is a Persian bakery and daytime cafe in Park Slope, and anyone who wishes they could go to Sofreh every night but knows it might be a financially irresponsible decision is probably already a regular here. Just like the restaurant, which is a block away, Sofreh Cafe is a simple space, and the most colorful thing is the pink petals on top of the cake yazdi, so it’s good for a pastry and a deep breath. Grab a table with a friend for some koukou sabzi and tahini date banana bread, or pick up a chai–add the cardamom syrup–and a piroshki goosht for the road. It's stuffed with cumin-y braised beef, and though it's big enough to share, we'd recommend just getting your own.
