Mary’s Bar
From the owners of Ginger’s Bar in Park Slope, Mary’s is a queer Irish pub that fully delivers on its premise. It’s a fun, casual, community-oriented space, and it looks like an updated version of somewhere you’d drink in a small town south of Dublin. On a relatively quiet corner just a few blocks from Brooklyn Steel, the pub has brick walls and all of the requisite Guinness decor, as well some colorful lights and a wraparound patio that’s perfect for when you want to loiter outside with your friends. Service is friendly, Happy Hour runs from 5-7pm on weekdays, and there are occasionally events like trivia and karaoke.
