Freehold Rooftop

Freehold Rooftop is like an after-work daycare for Midtown office types. It isn’t as fancy or pretentious as other rooftop bars in the area, and it’s a very pleasant place to drink with a few coworkers. Located on the top of the Pod 39 Hotel, the space consists of one big patio surrounded by brick arches, with a cabana-like bar in the middle where you can grab a frozen marg or a lobster roll. If you stop by on a weekday, expect to see a bunch of people wearing loafers with no-show socks milling around as they take in a surprisingly majestic view of Murray Hill.
