Donna
The original Donna, near the Williamsburg Bridge, was an unpretentious place with vaulted ceilings where you could enjoy a flawless cocktail and make small talk with a date. And the current iteration on Cornelia Street is pretty much the same. The ceilings aren’t as high, but the drinks are spectacular, and the Latin American-inspired space is bright and pleasant with white brick walls, pink banquettes, and tables made from reclaimed wood. Stop by if you need a nice-looking spot for a mellow drink with a friend. The signature Brancolada (think piña colada, but minty) is still on the menu, and there are some solid pan-Latin bar snacks available, like a bean and cheese pupusa, and a tostada topped with a heap of chicken salad.
