What’s The Deal With Outdoor Dining Reservations Right Now?

Some NYC restaurants are now accepting reservations for outdoor dining - and you may be curious about how hard those are to come by.

Many NYC restaurants are now accepting reservations for outdoor dining - and you may be curious about how difficult those are to come by.

At some historically-hard-to-book restaurants in lower Manhattan, like Wayla and Rezdora, every table for the next two weeks is already reserved.

Wayla on the LES is experimenting with a reservation-only model. They launched 90-minute reservations last Saturday, and by 8:30pm that night, the majority of reservations left were limited to 4:30pm and 8:30pm time slots. As of now, there are no tables left for the next two weeks. We’re not surprised by this - Wayla’s plant-filled back patio is one of the most glorious places you can lounge.

Rezdora in Flatiron opened up two-weeks’ worth of reservations on Wednesday at 12:30pm, and every table was booked within 15 minutes. As of now, Rezdora is not accepting walk-ins, and can only accommodate parties of four. Keep up with their Instagram and Resy page for more updates and details.

Anton’s is offering a combination of walk-ins and reservations, holding a few four-top tables for customers on a first-come-first-serve basis. Here’s a picture of what it looked like on Tuesday night around 8:30pm.

On Tuesday afternoon, Anton’s in the West Village quietly announced on their website that they were taking reservations for outdoor dining, and every table for that night was booked within two hours. At this time of this piece’s publishing, there are still a few lunch and early dinner time slots left for the week.
