Early voting for the June 22nd mayoral primary election is underway, and this year there’s a new ranked choice system in place. Naturally, in order to help New Yorkers get used to voting for multiple candidates, the city government is hosting a pizza topping election.
We, of course, have already ranked the best pizza in New York City.
This idea is both fun and cute, despite the fact that de Blasio ranked green peppers as his number one topping choice. If you’re following along at home, you already know the mayor is no stranger to stoking the fires of pizza controversy - he was spotted in 2014 eating pizza with a fork.
The official pizza ranking ballot closes at 6pm, Monday, June 14th. But you can continue practicing with a whole slew of ranked choice voting ballots (including a list of the best restaurants in Brooklyn’s Senate District 20, and the best landmarks in NYC).
