Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles
The soothing sound of biang biang noodles being methodically slapped on a table is just one of the reasons why we like Xi’an Biang Biang Noodles in Covent Garden. That noise from the open kitchen in the casual, Muji-esque space is the first indicator that the hand-pulled noodles should be on your table. The fact we always order another bowl is your second. Although the other Xi’anese dishes range from excellent (the refreshing tofu skin salad) to underwhelming (the dry pork burger), it’s a useful and good-value spot in this part of town. Quick service and perfectly satisfying food make it our go-to for a pre-theatre meal or a catch-up with that person you’ve been putting off meeting for three months.
