Hubbard and Bell is a restaurant inside the trendy Hoxton hotel in Holborn which, owing to the dearth of options in the immediate area around Holborn station, immediately has become one of the most reliably good restaurants in the area. Make no mistake, the food veers from tasty to mediocre, and much of it is amusingly overpriced. But its greater function is as a convenient place to hang out with friends in the area, and to people watch, as it’s adjacent to the lobby bar which always attracts a lively crowd. Get the deep-fried kale.
