Katie Shapiro
Katie Shapiro is a high-functioning ski bum who has been based in Aspen since 2011 as a freelance journalist and media strategist. She started her career in early aughts NYC where she worked in fashion and beauty PR, but was also known to write anonymous restaurant reviews on MenuPages.com (RIP) and have a hard copy of the Zagat guidebook in her purse filled with highlighter and notes. She spent a few years in Denver in between, where she became one of the first-ever lifestyle writers on the cannabis beat. Since then, she's covered travel, food, wine, and weed for everyone from Eater, Thrillist, and Forbes to The Denver Post, The Aspen Times, and High Times.
