Hing Kee Restaurant
You should go to Hing Kee in Chinatown for one reason: the handmade xiao long bao (soup dumplings). Sure, this casual spot has other stuff on the menu, but don’t worry about that. It’s the XLBs that need to be on the table. They’re made fresh daily, as evidenced by the person making them right in the front window. Get the pork, or pork with crab, and a scallion pancake while you’re at it.
