The best part about living in the South isn’t the weather, the college sports, or even the fact that other drivers actually let you merge. It’s that the entire region is filled with little roadside barbecue stands that have smokers out back and serve plates of ribs the size of a Kentucky Derby hat. Pit Stop Barbecue on the Dorchester/Mattapan line may be the only one of those we’ve got inside 128, but it’s a damn fine representation of the genre. From pulled pork, to spicy sausages and brisket, they have all your barbecue favorites, but we liked the pork ribs best.
