6 Exciting Things To Do During Pride Month

Somehow, it’s June. You know what that means—it’s time for SF Pride. Here’s a roundup of events to help you celebrate.

Pride Month is here, and you know that means it’s a special time in SF. Yes, there’s a parade going down June 25th, but you can also celebrate by checking out local LGBTQIA+ owned businesses and heading to events scheduled all month. Below is a roundup of a few drag shows, queer proms, and other special nights happening across town. We’ll update this list as more information comes our way. Have a suggestion? Email us at sanfrancisco@theinfatuation.com.

THE EVENTS

CAN’T DRAG US DOWN AT SHAKEWELL

Shakewell, the tapas spot in Oakland, is hosting a “Can’t Drag Us Down” drag show on Sunday, June 11th (admission is $25). No food will be served, but you can bring in outside food. Try nearby Rico Rico Taco, and then wash it all down with one of their special pride-themed cocktails.

The event is free, but if you pre-register online you’ll get a fan and feather boa. All pre-registration proceeds benefit Trans Thrive, a trans-centric nonprofit with the goal of creating safe spaces for the trans/gender non-conforming community.
