Since August, Pizza Yard on Governors Island has been working out of a shed equipped with a wood-burning oven, and the result is some of the best pizza in the whole city. The bubbly crust has a nice crunch and the sauce tastes like the sweet yet acidic grand prize winner at a tomato sauce festival (which is unfortunately not a thing in NYC). You should absolutely make a day out of gazing at the Statue of Liberty and writing a poem for this pizza.
