We had high hopes for this second location of a Flushing spot inspired by Taiwanese night markets with arcade games and street food. We imagined a cavernous space near Union Square, where we’d spend a whirlwind evening drinking bubble tea and winning prizes with reckless abandon. In reality, Partea is about the size of a pediatrician’s office, with a counter where you order snacky fried food, and a modest collection of claw games in the back. The claw games are as annoyingly hard here as anywhere else, but if you do stumble in for some reason (it’s open until midnight most days), drown any plushy-related sorrows in a crispy fried chicken sandwich. It's dripping in soy garlic sauce, and tastes even better than winning a plushy.
