When you’re near the Brooklyn Bridge and you need an almond croissant, check out Almondine. It’s a little French Bakery with pastries, fresh bread, a few kinds of sandwiches, and some of the largest merengues we’ve seen. You can eat at one of their little tables, or take your food to a nearby park.

One of our favorite restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in the summer when their back garden is in full swing. Bring some bug spray, eat a pork chop.
Gran Electrica serves simple, excellent Mexican food and creative cocktails. It also has a great back patio.

2nd Ave Deli
When the original 2nd Ave Deli closed, lots of New Yorkers channeled some nostalgic rage. At the new Murray Hill location, the old school charm may be gone, but the matzoh ball soup and pastrami sandwich have remained pretty much untouched.
People are waiting an hour for egg sandwiches at Nolita’s Egg Shop. Is it worth it? Time to investigate.
