Taqueria Hoja

$$$$
Mexican  in  Downtown
Written by

Taqueria Hoja is a small taco spot in Downtown that might just be serving the best tacos in Miami right now. Options here include a classic carne asada with beautifully charred beef, and a heritage pork al pastor. They also have some vegetarian-friendly ones, which happen to be our favorite. There’s a vegan koji sweet potato taco topped with peanut and almond sauce that’s sweet and savory and will have you ordering another one before you’ve even finished. All of them are served on fresh tortillas that are tender but won’t rip in half on you. They have some simple but delicious burritos too, which range from $6 to $10 and aren’t too overstuffed or obnoxiously big. The shrimp and potato flautas? Also crispy and delicious. This is a good place to come hungry and order an amount of food that can barely fit on the table, which shouldn’t be too hard since nothing on the menu is over $10.
