Pasta E Basta
You can get a solid bowl of pasta at Basta E Pasta, a Midtown restaurant with a sterile interior that feels somewhere between a spa and a nice dentist's office. Pasta is pretty much all that’s on the menu. They make a decent carbonara that could be a bit saltier, but it at least has a pretty yellow hue and uses guanciale. There's also rigatoni amatriciana, lasagna, and a rotating ravioli—all solid, simple pastas that don’t rely on heavy cream sauces. This isn’t the best Italian restaurant in Miami, but we've happily finished everything we've had here (even though it came to the table a little cold) and they have a pretty outdoor patio too. Keep it in mind for a last-minute weeknight dinner.
