MIAReview
This small Basque restaurant in Coconut Grove has one of our favorite arroz ibéricos in town. The fragrant rice has tons of crunchy socarrat, is mixed with seared pancetta and tomatillo, and is topped with three delicious medallions of Iberian pork. It'll make you want to learn Basque, put on a beret, and take up jai alai. But the menu isn't all hits. The croquetas de jamón have more cheese than jamón. And while the grilled octopus is cooked perfectly, we have a very small but significant issue with most of the dishes here: they’re too precious. Plating takes precedence over function. And sauces are placed around the naked areas of the plate, too far from the food that needs their flavor. Still, you will probably not find a better arroz ibérico in Miami.
