Cookie is like that one sweater you have shoved in the back of your closet: sometimes you forget it’s there, but then you find it again and wonder, “why the f*ck don’t I wear this more often?” Not that Cookie is ever empty - you definitely don’t want to bring any almost-deaf relatives here - but it’s been around for so long and is so consistently good that Melbourne kind of takes it for granted. They serve some of the best Thai in town in a huge space that’s half bar, half restaurant, and fully one of our favorite places to eat in the city.
