Sabores Oaxaqueños East Hollywood
Sabores Oaxaqueños’ second location in East Hollywood is just as good as the Koreatown original but with one major bonus: parking. That eliminates the only complaint about the charming OG spot, where street parking is a nightmare. But a spacious parking lot? Talk about luxury. And even more so when you’re eating some of the best Oaxacan food in LA.
The menu at Sabores Oaxaqueños #2 tacks on a few Oaxacan sampler platters that include molotes, quesadillas, and little bowls of chapulines (fried grasshoppers), but otherwise remains the same. Prioritize their smoky goat birria rolled up in a forearm-sized taco (more of a burrito) on a fluffy, fresh-made tortilla and the giant tlayuda mixta that’s ideal for sharing. We’d send you to this Oaxacan spot solely for the latter dish, but the colorful pink and orange room is also a pleasant place to linger with a concha and mug of cafe de olla.
