Like Shoreditch, Farringdon isn’t exactly short of coffee shops. But Prufrock has been one of the best in London for a long time, both for the quality of their coffee and the environment you’ll drink it in. It’s laid back enough for you to relax and go deep and finish that Powerpoint, and the service is also great.

Luca is one of those restaurants that just makes you feel good. The Italian food is some of the best in London, and it has a warm, upscale vibe.

Quality Chip House is an excellent British restaurant in Clerkenwell that understands what makes a meal pleasurable.
The Coach is a beautifully renovated pub near Farringdon. It’s a great place for a drink, but the French bistro food is fairly average.

E. Pellicci is an old-school classic in Bethnal Green. It’s warm and welcoming, and if you don’t get a Full English breakfast, you did it wrong.
