Beza Ethiopian Food

Beza Ethiopian Food is an Ethiopian restaurant in Elephant and Castle where we want to be every weekday lunchtime, doomscrolling, and eating slightly sour, spongey injera. There’s leafy street-side seating outside, but if you don’t want any glare on your phone as you spend 40 minutes spiralling, the seats inside are just comfy enough. Ordering from the menu is easy—get the lot. Creamy kik wot, warmly spiced miser wot, string beans cooked in turmeric—just specify if it’s for one, two, or four. You could stare at the brightly coloured woven plates on the walls and let yourself be restored by the comforting cooking. Or you could keep missing your mouth as you try to zoom in, one-handed, on your frenemy’s recent Formentera Instagram photos. Either way Beza—with its generous portions, friendly but fuss-free service, and a safe space atmosphere—has got you.
