Doris Metropolitan
While some steakhouses are built for date night, others are straight to business. Doris Metropolitan, a Mediterranean steakhouse in Montrose, gives off “should we get drinks after work?” vibes every day of the week. Folks dining there are either loosening their tie at the bar, lugging a giant laptop bag, or vigorously shaking hands. If an office building’s conference room served in-house dry aged steak and stiff martinis, it would probably look exactly like Doris, apart from the giant crystal chandelier hanging above a rack of tomahawks in the aging room. However, unlike other staid office cafeteria food, Doris offers some pretty excellent dishes like a tomato salad with briny Moroccan olives, fork-tender roast beef short rib, and perfectly seared wagyu steaks. We suggest swinging by Doris for the all-day Happy Hour on Monday and snagging one of the bread plates, served warm with housemade butter.
