Firewood BBQ
Exposed brick, wood paneling, and hanging plants—a pleasant and inoffensive design trio that’s not going to incite any riots. But mix in some TVs, a bar, and good barbecue and you get Firewood BBQ. The menu has classics, from starters like hush puppies, to wings covered in a sweet and peppery dry rub and racks of baby back ribs. The brisket is especially delicious—perfectly tender with a smokey char. Every table has a pumpable container of tangy housemade BBQ sauce that could easily be mistaken for hand sanitizer (don't make the same mistake we did), and you'll want to put this on everything. Firewood is generally relaxed and not too busy, but be on the lookout for some more energetic karaoke nights.
