Ethiopian Diamond

Ethiopian Diamond is the oldest Ethiopian restaurant in Chicago. And the reason behind this Edgewater spot's long reign is simple: The food is fantastic. Like flaky sambusas, shimbra asa, and any stew made with their smoky “Diamond berbere” sauce—each bite grabs your attention until it’s all gone. The spacious dining room is relaxed, great for a catch-up dinner or a quiet date. And even on busier weekends, grabbing a table last minute is fairly easy.
