Ciao Ciao Gelato & Cafe

Ciao Ciao Gelato & Cafe is a gelateria and coffee shop in Portage Park with excellent gelato. The large Italian cafe has pastries and snacks, but more importantly, they offer 46 flavors from a stable of 120, rotating them every Tuesday and Thursday. All of the ultra-smooth gelato is rich and intense, but no matter what you get, the flavor never tastes artificial or too sweet. The spumoni and pistachio are classic options done well, but there are also fun flavors like pineapple creamsicle that taste like going down a Slip N’ Slide feels. (The little umbrella stuck in each cone helps).
