The Chicago Diner

The Chicago Diner is an institution that’s been around since the early ’80s and still draws a crowd on the weekends. There’s another location in Logan Square, but the one on Broadway is the original. Everything on the menu is either vegan or can be made vegan, with seitan, tempeh, and tofu showing up in a lot of the dishes. There are diner classics like pancakes, biscuits and gravy, and omelets, but they’ve also got a meatless take on things like gyros, wings, and poutine. Just be sure to get a milkshake while you’re here - they’re delicious.
