Bar Boulud in Back Bay serves an Old Fashioned that comes with a small cup of caramel popcorn clipped to the glass. Are you supposed to put the popcorn in the drink? Mix them together in your mouth like the old pop rocks and soda trick? It’s not clear, but since this is a French brasserie, maybe you should just go with wine. As for what to eat, the menu is solid across the board, and the lobster roll is a good bet since it’s a fancy place that will make you want to get some fancy food.
Bar Boulud is permanently closed.
