The weekend parking situation at The Works’ fast-growing complex is akin to a TSA line nightmare. But on quiet weekday evenings, you can roll into Chicheria for one of the chillest taco and margarita scenes in the city. Dim lights, wicker light fixtures, clay walls, and Mesoamerica art set this Mexican restaurant apart from the rest of The Works’ industrial structures. And though it’s not the best taco we’ve had on the Upper Westside, their housemade blue corn tortillas and impressive number of options help to inch them above a few other area taco spots. But our favorite part of the menu are the margaritas, which you can get in flavors like mango or coconut and topped with spirit floaters.
