I Fratellini is one of those places you consider lying about and telling people is terrible just so you can keep it all to yourself. This Italian spot in Clayton serves classics like linguine with clams, along with some more creative dishes like pistachio crusted trout. The intimate space and long and affordable wine list are great for a date with someone you might want to share a life with, or maybe just a bowl of pasta. Also, make sure to get the lemon panna cotta, regardless of how full you are after dinner.

Olio in Tower Grove serves Israeli small plates in a converted filling station from the 30s, so it’s a cool spot for a date or casual dinner.
