Oat Bakery is a small Scandinavian bakery on Lower State Street that makes gorgeous seed-crusted bread loaves with organic ingredients, down to their sourdough starter. Don't expect to linger around with a coffee and pastry though, because it's not that kind of bakery. It's more of a grab-and-go operation where you pick up olive-studded focaccias and date-almond buns that you'll probably snack on in the car. The swirly blue and white sourdough is also a must-try, especially with the shop's vegan artichoke spread that should be generously slathered on top.
