If you’re looking for a quick bite to avoid drinking in Uptown Oakland on an empty stomach, head to Xolo, an excellent taqueria right around the corner from the 19th St. Bart Station. They make fantastic al pastor, crispy tacos with beef, and burritos. And on Fridays, they’re open until midnight. Xolo is also a great hangover spot (get the Vampiro taco with al pastor and fried cheese), but just know the lunch lines can sometimes get long.
