Despite the name, this is more a sports bar than an Irish pub. There are TVs inside and outside, so if it’s a nice day, you can split a pitcher at a sidewalk table after work while watching an afternoon baseball game. And they have standard bar food (like wings) to spoil your dinner.
The Taco Shop at Underdogs in the Sunset serves tacos and other Mexican dishes in a sports bar environment.
Delarosa is an Italian restaurant near Union Square that’s great for spontaneous group meals on the heated patio.
Wayfare Tavern is the Financial District power lunch destination with charming British pub energy. Don’t expect much from the food.
