If you’re of a certain age (namely, someone who once attended Warped Tour), The Maine needs no introduction. If you're currently googling “Warped Tour,” then here is your introduction: The Maine are a pop-punk band from Arizona who’ve been together since 2007, building a word-of-mouth fan base that follows their every move. (And no, they're not named after the home of lobster rolls, but rather the song "Coast of Maine" by Ivory.) As they take their ninth album on tour, each of the band members gave us the details on the spots they always visit whenever they’re back home in the Phoenix area.

“Calling all fellow breakfast buds! In my opinion, the bar for serving a good breakfast is pretty low—I feel like anybody can do it, but to send it over the top, you really have to know what you're doing. Matt's has one of the best breakfast sandwiches in the game, full stop. It's called the five-spot, and it’s basically [a BEC] but cranked up to 11 with big fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy thick-cut bacon, american cheese, you know the drill. If pancakes are your jam, they make them from scratch and you can even throw some blueberries in the mix, which I absolutely do every time. Also, if you're eating breakfast without fresh squeezed OJ you're a monster, so definitely order a nice tall glass of that sweet nectar while you're there. My advice? Get there early—the line can get wild! But it’s still worth it if you have to wait, I promise!” - Jared Monaco

“I’m not a coffee snob by any stretch, but I do know a good cup when I find it. My wife and I used to live just down the street from Provision and became addicted to not only the beans, but the vibe and friendly faces. It’s bougie enough without feeling pretentious and I felt zero shame when asking what a cortado was. It’s a good place to read a book, have a meeting, or just get straight-up jacked on java. We’ve since moved about 30 minutes away, but luckily, I found a place nearby that has their cold brew on tap, so I can keep the coffee shakes shaking.” - John O’Callaghan

Vovomeena

$$$$

“My first thought of the day after arriving home from tour is: where can I get something for brunch? Vovomeena is a staple. They use some of the best ingredients around, including the local Schreiner’s sausage in one of my favorite dishes, the Bangin Pocket. Eggs, gouda cheese, and sausage in a fresh pita. Like Ricky said, ‘She bangs, she bangs …oh baby, when she moves she moves.’ Good vibes fill the room and the same staff that were running the place ten years ago when I started going there are still around to greet you with smiles at the door. And for coffee drinkers, they have an incredible in-house cold brew. The mocha cappuccino is the perfect amount of chocolate to sweeten up your day. It’s a consistently great place and I routinely find something new to enjoy about this gem in Phoenix.” - Kennedy Brock

“Glai Baan would have to be my favorite restaurant in the valley. It’s perfect for any occasion and always first on my list when I have friends visiting from out of town. Every time I go, Dan welcomes [us] like we’ve been lifelong friends—it feels like home. Next time you go, make sure you try the Laab Sided cocktail. During Covid, I missed it so much that my girlfriend and I started making it at home.” - Garrett Nickelsen

“No restaurant has fueled a creative time for our band more than Worth. We would go there four times a week while writing and recording XOXO. The friendly staff and great food has us coming back over and over. The crispy chicken sandwich is the best around. Can’t recommend it more.” - Pat Kirch
