Screamin’ Rooster
Screamin’ Rooster has extremely hot chicken—the kind you might consider serving your worst enemy (or a Cowboys fan). At night, the Chinatown spot can get busy, but the line is worth it for two simple reasons: the chicken is spicy and juicy. The meat has a blend of spices already in the breading and then gets doused in peppery Screamin’ sauce. You’ll need your waffle for relief (but don’t worry, they come with each order), or gulp down whatever drink is nearby. You can go for tenders, sliders, and a few different spice levels, so show up, stand in line, and be prepared to sweat through your favorite t-shirt if you go for the hottest.
