Pod is a restaurant that was built for social media before social media even existed. It’s right on Penn’s campus, and it looks like the lovechild of an Epcot spaceship ride and a '80s Las Vegas martini bar. When it opened in 2000, it was the trendiest spot in the city, and followed suit with every 2000s-era trend by serving a menu of pan-Asian fusion dishes that probably included something like stir-fried paella or miso eggplant sliders. It’s almost exactly the same as it was when it opened, and we kind of like it better now than we did when it was at its height. Mostly because it’s basically a time capsule that takes us back to when The Backstreet Boys were on TRL and Disney Channel movies were still good.
