The Canary

The Canary wants to be your Crown Heights neighborhood spot, and it might just succeed. This bar has Happy Hour every day between 4-8pm and after 11pm, there are trivia nights, taco Tuesdays, and other specials, and they also make a hot, salty, and perfectly crisp french fry. Canary looks tiny from the outside, but the inside seems to go back forever, so you can easily bring a group here, find a big booth, and drink spicy margaritas long after everyone else is asleep. This isn’t really a date spot—it’s more like some place you might see on a TV show, where everyone is friendly, and the bartender knows your first name and beer-of-choice. A place where at some point you order a burger, which you then split with the person sitting next to you at the bar.
