At Sauced, an East Village natural wine bar that started in Williamsburg, you don’t get a menu. Instead, your server asks you about your mood and what you generally drink. And if you like a bar filled with people who caption Instagram posts with “aesthetic AF” and describe their taste in music as “vibey,” you’ll probably be in a good mood. Start in the front, grab some snacks (they often host pop-ups, so check their Instagram), and sip on something funky. When you start to feel the additive-free buzz, head towards the back, which has red neon lights, a DJ booth, and a small room with a vertical, weight-bearing pole in it. If you want to avoid crowds, come early, or prepare to lightly nudge your way to the bar.
