Kababish
Kababish is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it counter spot in Jackson Heights, but it’s a strong contender for the best Pakistani/Indian/Bangladeshi food in the area. Most of the space is taken up by the kitchen behind the counter, where you’ll see an army of people pulling naan out of the tandoor and heating up kebabs.
Kababish is known for their huge chicken kebab roll, with a tender chunk of meat, lettuce, and onions wrapped in a naan that eagerly soaks up all of the chicken’s juices. The exemplary roll sets a high bar, and the rest of their fresh, hot food easily meets it. Other favorites include velvety sutli kebab, crispy chicken 65 with a generous amount of green chilies, and flaky chicken patties. There’s room for about two and half people inside, but they’ve got an outdoor dining shed with plenty of seating. Also, it's open 24 hours.
