This bar inside the Coconut Grove Ritz Carlton is full of tourists, but it’s also a great hideout for locals looking to grab a drink before dinner—or any Miamian who wants to drink next to an actual fireplace. There’s a fantastic daily Happy Hour from 5-7pm where you can get $8 classic cocktails and $8 bites. We like the beef slider with onion jam and the tiny chorizo manchego croquetas. But if you want a fancy drink, order the smokestack with bourbon, cognac, and tea syrup that’s smoked tableside. It’s made for sipping while sitting in a deep leather chair next to the bar’s roaring fireplace that’s lit year-round.
